We define culture as the collective values, attitudes and behaviours that characterise an organisation.

Culture is a fragile thing. It takes time and energy to build but can be eroded quickly thanks to poor management, simple neglect, or not responding consciously to change.  To build a great culture you need:

  • Visionary leadership
  • A genuinely inspiring purpose or mission
  • Objectives and practices that support the achievement of that purpose.
Plus, and this is the tricky part, genuinely engaged managers and staff.

The biggest step is challenging existing limiting beliefs and barriers – and replacing them with a sense of energy, optimism and openness. In short, not just a ‘can do’ attitude but a ‘want to do’ attitude.

Of course the practice is a lot tougher than the theory. Which is why Minerva has developed an approach that delivers a permanent change and significant improvements in performance by embedding new behaviours, working practices and success measures in the workplace.
